Celebrating 30 Years of Reiki in Our Community

October marks a deeply meaningful milestone for me: my 30th year practicing and teaching Usui Reiki. It has been such a profound journey over the years, spanning time working in both Ottawa and Perth, and eventually settling right here in Perth.

When I first opened my doors back in October 1996, Reiki was largely unfamiliar. Yet, through open hearts and genuine curiosity, wonderful clients and students took a leap of faith. You trusted the gentle, transformative power of the energy, and because of that trust, Reiki gradually blossomed in reputation, availability, and community acceptance.

It has been one of the absolute honour and privileges of my life to train the practitioners and teachers who have carried this work forward and advanced Reiki’s reach and impact. To everyone who has walked alongside me over the past three decades: thank you. Your willingness to embrace Reiki has shaped our community in ways I could only ever dream of.

Thank you for thirty years of mindful connection and growth,
Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen,
Denise
